Day 6 (Part 2) Driving from Grand Canyon to Vegas

After seeing one of the greatest views that God gave us we jumped back into the car + headed south back to Williams and then due west to complete our round trip back to Vegas which began the previous Friday.
We drove and drove and eventually drove right over the Hoover Dam. Curiously, there are police who visually inspect each and every car at both ends of the dam...most people (including us) are just given the once over, but some are directed out of traffic and are submitted to searches.
The Dam is an impressive site...lots and lots of construction going on.

One end begins on the Arizona border and the other on the Nevada border.

We finally arrived at our destination hotel in Vegas...the JW Marriott.
When we arrived, the front desk clerk told us they were full and were upgrading us to a suite! Woo hoo.
Very exciting...double doors into our hotel room!
We open the door to this!A few minutes later...a tap at the door, and an anniversary present was delivered from Lyndsay and Dan....
We were thrilled beyond belief!!
The wine and chocolates were a perfect apertif to dinner :)
Thank you sooooo much Lyndsay and Dan!!

The suite was amazing...half the size of our house!!!
Jim is standing in the foyer talking to Lyndsay and Dan.

Off the foyer is a wet bar...
A separate bedroom....
A WALK-IN closet!
Jim is trying to figure out what the bidet is...lol
One of TWO bathrooms in the suite....
This one has a huge shower.....
Balcony off the living room with an amazing view of the Vegas skyline....

Another view of the bedroom....

Dining room....

Entrance into the bedroom...
After dinner, we headed to the Bellagio and saw the Cirque du Soleil show "O".
It was UNBELIEVABLE.
When we got back we enjoyed the view, the jacuzzi and the rest of the wine :)

What an amazing trip you are having!! Are you sure you are coming back home? I just captured some very large snowflakes on my camera back here in Ellington. But.....apple cider and soup help to make this weather tolerable. Not sure if it can compare to wine and chocolates in a luxury suite though!
