Day 5: In and Around Sedona/Part 1

3. the view from the tub
4. Fireplace in room
5. Homemade cinnamon buns every morning
6. the view (while drinking coffee in the AM)
7. Appetizers every afternoon
8. Tea and cookies every evening

After a breakfast of coffee and juice, homemade cinnamon buns; pumpkin pecan pancakes, sausage and poached pears in cream, (are you gaining weight just reading this?) we drove west for about an hour to Jerome, AZ--an old mining town that is a little worn around the edges, but has some history to explore (and a couple of cute shops).
Jerome was built literally on the side of a mountain...
You climb up lots of stairs to get to the shops...
Everything has either a Victorian/Old West feel or Native American/Southwest feel.
Not sure why this is here, but Jim took a picture of it while I was in the ladies room :)
Anyone remember Texaco gas? I sure do.
Stairs....and more stairs...
Cool old hotel ironwork....
Cool doorknob...
This hotel must have been incredible back in the late 1800's...
After Jerome, we came back to our room to rest on the balcony and...you guessed it...enjoy the view for an hour....until it was time for our PINK JEEP TOUR!!!
Those pictures tomorrow!
