See ya later, not goodbye/Day 4 in Florida

It was time to head back home already. A wonderful 3 days had come and gone. We packed our bags early so that we could meet Lyndsay and Dan for breakfast before we had to get to the airport. It was hard to leave so soon, but not as hard as it usually is to say goodbye to my oldest and mostest farest awayest daughter (lol) since I knew we would see her again in about a week or so for Christmas. It made the parting SO much easier. But it was still sad to leave her and Dan, and I'll be honest...sad to leave the incredible Florida weather! It was in the 70's by breakfast time, climbing to the 80's by afternoon. We already knew that it was a high of 20 degrees that day back home...brrr. It's hard to have that little taste of weather heaven, only to have it taken away so soon. sigh.

Last night, after we got back to the hotel, we stopped in the lobby to wait for Jim while he parked the car. Taylor and Mom and I had a little photo shoot in the red Santa chair they had in the lobby.

Back to breakfast....We went to First Watch cafe. It was an awesome spot...lots of healthy, organic and lowfat options...we loved it. Jim especially loved

the flower pens you use when you sign your credit card...hee hee.
Lyndsay loved the cute presents that Taylor gave her for graduation...

We just loved everything about the place..the company, the food, the sunny interior...the sunny exterior...ok, I'll stop discussing the weather.

Really, the company was the best.

See ya later!

Florida in December/Day 3/GRADUATION!

Monday was Graduation Day! It was a beautiful morning, and again, Jim and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to have breakfast out at the pool...as usual, the sleepyheads
(Taylor and Dabi) were still in bed.
We finally woke them up...lol...and headed over to pick up Lyndsay to bring her to the main campus for the ceremony...took a few pictures outside her apartment first.

We arrived at UCF's main campus early...which of course, gave me the chance to take even more pictures!!!!

Finally, time to head into the arena...this was the first of 3 graduation ceremony's that UCF was having over the next 2 days. UCF has 45,000 students, so they have not only multiple ceremonies over 2-3 days, but they also hold graduations in May and August, as well as December, of course.

Do you see our girl??

Waving to the camera while waiting for the handshake....

Dan and his Mom with Lyndsay!

Mom and Dad (So proud of our girl:)

Dabi and Lyndsay...
Taylor and Lyndsay....my 2 favorite redheads..

Congratulations Lyndsay!

Dear friends of Lyndsay's....

To celebrate Lyndsay's Graduation we headed over to the Melting Pot for dinner...It was a fabulous fondue restaurant...we loved it! It was SOOOOO good.

Mmmm-mmm chocolate fondue.

Final day of pics tomorrow!

Florida in December/Day TWO

Day 2 (Sunday) found us having a quick breakfast by the pool because the Berg's were coming to visit! They arrived around 9:30am and we decided to visit the Gaylord Hotel's atrium Christmas display...it was huge and unbelievably intricate and fascinating.

After walking around and admiring everything, we headed over to Disney to the Contemporary Hotel for lunch. They just opened a new restaurant called the Wave, which specialized in organic and vegetarian meals...it was delicious...the food and the really cool decor. The picture below shows the lounge where we waited before being seated.

After lunch we all headed back to the hotel (Shingle Creek Resort) and later said goodbye to the Bergs :(

We took some pictures by the fountain before heading out to dinner....

We ate at a really cool Tapas restaurant (the choices of restaurants in Orlando is ENORMOUS) but we loved this place. Lots of appetizer sized portions that you keep ordering until you are full. They have artists working as you eat all around the restaurant, as well as displaying all their artwork. Such a cool place. We loved it!

This ended Day 2....Graduation tomorrow!
