Good Eats in Boston:Day 169

We had a wonderful day this past weekend in Boston...but it, as usual, was all about the food....we started in Quincy Market and ended in the North End...yum-o, as Rachel would say.
We walked around Quincy Market, Boston's version of upscale fast food, trying to decide just what to pick for lunch.
Jim finally decided on Greek (mousakka)
and I decided to go Thai (Pad Thai w/tofu). Both were delicious.
After walking and walking and walking (and getting completely soaked in a thunderstorm), we jumped on the T to head up to the North End for dinner.

We walked around the North End, just enjoying the sights, sounds and incredible smells coming out of the hundreds of "open air" restaurants...mmm.

Taylor requested that we eat at La Famiglia Giorgio again, so we headed across the street, but stopping short when we got closer was this the same restaurant?...OMG-it was renovated!

New front. New door. Open AIR! woo hoo! This was gonna be fun. Even better, when we went in, the owner put us right in front of the window.

Primo real estate for the North End. We were lovin' it.

And, inside was a new floor, new ceiling, and a fireplace!

(Note to self: Must come back when it is cold)

The portions haven't changed *HUGE* and neither have the prices, thankfully. We were all so stuffed we each needed a doggie bag to take home. The owner was so enthralled with us, he personally wrapped up 9 cannoli's for us to take home...but that didn't stop us from going

HERE!

We stood in a very long line for the pastry, but oh-so-worth-it. Jim was disappointed they were out of lemon squares, but consoled himself with some other lemon pastry.

On a final note...I leave you with this disturbing picture.....lol.
