Jack-O-carving fun

With an unexpected weekend visit home from college for Taylor, pumpkin carving numbers
grew from 2 jack-o-lanterns to three.

So, as usual, last minute Linda's that we are, we found 3 somewhat Charlie Brown pumpkins at Trader Joe's on Friday.

The price was right, though.
$3.50 each ;)

Who cares if they were missing stems, had unsightly blemishes, or strange shapes?
Not us.

First step was opening them up.....

Next step was pumpkin gutting....

The pumpkins are gutted....and await further orders.

And let the GREAT PUMPKIN carving contest begin!

Jim's philosophy is JUST DO IT.
No prep...just carve.
Taylor takes a look at Jim's handiwork and decides to do something
a bit different.

A quick search on google images and out comes the Sharpie....

Meanwhile, Jim is done and wiping Jack down.

Who's the cute one????

Taylor is hard at work...

After a bit of expert knife wielding skills, Taylor's creation:

The three musketeers...

Now, time to put the camera down, and my turn to carve.

You've heard of the BIG MOUTH FROG?

Well, I've got the big mouthed pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Out for display!

Please vote your favorite :)
This is competition, after all!!!
